5K Trail Run / Donnovan’s Run
The Elysian Heights Arts Magnet 5K Trail Run is an event with a simple mission: build community, inspire a healthy lifestyle and raise funds for arts education. This event is open to the whole community, and we are eager to grow the 2026 5K Trail Run even bigger than our record run last Spring!
In addition to the main fundraising goal of supporting arts education at EHAM, the 5K has another special meaning. Donnovan Castellanos, aka “Dragon Heart”, was an active EHAM student known for his tenacity in the 5K, his love for football and his selflessness and generosity. He tragically passed away in 2015 after suffering a severe asthma attack, and the 5K has been run in his memory ever since. Each year a percentage of the registration fee proceeds are donated to the American Lung Association in his honor.
ALL proceeds go directly to a GREAT (and tax-deductible) cause!
While anyone may participate in the 5K for free, you must register to receive an official runner’s bib, the exclusive 2026 EHAM 5K Trail Run t-shirt, and a medal for completing the race!
Early Bird Registration (by 3pm Friday February 27, 2026):

Day of Registration:
All Participants - $50
